The Democratic National Committee commissioned an “autopsy” of the party’s losses in 2024, and while much of the draft report centers on Kamala Harris’ failed presidential bid, it also includes criticisms of Joyce Craig’s unsuccessful campaign for New Hampshire governor.

New Hampshire’s Republican-controlled House and Senate have mostly agreed on legislation this year. But on some of the most contentious issues, the single-party control of the Legislature and governor’s office has not translated to automatic alignment. Last Thursday, one of the final voting days of the year, the two chambers clashed over some major policies, sending many of them to further negotiations in a committee of conference.

After months of informal talks, health officials from 10 Northeastern states have announced they’re forming a bloc called the Northeast Public Health Collaborative to issue vaccine guidance and coordinate public health efforts independent of the federal government. New Hampshire is not among them.
