MANCHESTER, NH – The Palace Theatres announce the return of the Palace Theatre Short Play Festival at The Rex Theatre on April 10 and 11, 2026. After a successful inaugural event in 2025, the festival will continue to foster creative theatrical work and provide a platform for workshopping and producing new plays from emerging writers.
The festival will feature six new American short plays each night, showcasing the talents of up-and-coming playwrights and local actors. Audiences will have the unique opportunity to vote for their favorite with the best short play being chosen by audience ballot on Saturday night.
The festival’s panel of judges will also present the “Judges Award” for 2026 Best Play.
