MANCHESTER, NH – Catholic Medical Center announced that Alex Walker is concluding his tenure as President & CEO to lead the Catholic Health Care Foundation of Greater Manchester as its Executive Director. This transition will occur on February 1 when CMC joins HCA Healthcare.
“Alex’s contributions to CMC have ensured its legacy will endure and continue to grow for years to come. His leadership, vision and dedication have profoundly shaped the organization, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients and the community,” said Timothy Riley, Chairman of CMC’s Board of Trustees. “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Alex for his years of service, his commitment to our mission and the lasting impact he has made. We are deeply grateful for all he has done to shape CMC’s future.”
Walker joined CMC in 2012 as General Counsel and has since held several key leadership roles, including Senior Vice President for Strategic Development and Chief Operating Officer, before being named President & CEO in 2021.

The Catholic Health Care Foundation of Greater Manchester, a new not-for-profit foundation under the direction of the Bishop of Manchester and a local board of directors, will address critical community health needs through its support of Healthcare for the Homeless and the Poisson Dental Facility. The Foundation is funded through proceeds from the partnership of CMC with HCA Healthcare.

HCA Healthcare will soon announce details about the new leadership team, including CMC’s next CEO. In the meantime, both organizations are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and continuing the tradition of excellence in healthcare that defines CMC.
