Chris Wellington to serve Easterseals as Senior VP of Housing and Property Development

Chris Wellington signs on as Easterseals NH & VT first-ever Senior Vice President of Housing and Property Development.

MANCHESTER, NH – Easterseals NH & VT has named Chris Wellington as Senior Vice President of Housing and Property Development. In this newly created role, Wellington will manage financial, project development and advocacy efforts related to the organization’s housing and facilities. Among his responsibilities, Wellington will oversee and collaborate on housing and project development budgets, conduct capital planning and needs analysis, assess facilities needs and identify opportunities for renovation or new construction, and advocate at the state and local level for individuals and families served by housing and facilities provided by Easterseals NH & VT.

“Chris is steeped in New Hampshire nonprofit and public sector experience, which will prove extremely valuable as we move forward with our strategic plan,” said Maureen Beauregard, President and CEO of Easterseals NH & VT. “His expertise will be key to supporting our vision for developing the state-of-the art facilities that are so crucial to effectively meeting our clients’ needs throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.”

In the last year, Easterseals NH & VT launched three major property development projects, including a new affordable apartment community in Rochester, NH for adults 62 and older, a new residential education school under development in Manchester for Easterseals NH Gammon Academy, and a 15-acre military and veteran campus now under construction in Franklin.

Most recently the Deputy Director of New Hampshire Humanities, Wellington has more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit and public sectors, including ten years in economic development, eight years in financing, and five years in housing development. He earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of New Hampshire. He was recognized as the Manchester Young Professional of the Year, Stay Work Play’s Young Professional of the Year, and a member of the 2014 NH Union Leader 40 Under Forty class. Wellington is also a graduate of the Hoffman-Haas Fellowship, Leadership Greater Manchester, and Leadership New Hampshire program. He currently serves as a member of the City of Manchester’s Planning Board.
