With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Blais’ expertise in banking, commercial lending, cash management and other financial products is appreciated by his customers. Before joining Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Blais worked for Plum Lending as EVP, Northeast Region Originations. He has specific expertise in lending for commercial real estate projects including multi-family, office building, retail space, as well as hospitality and industrial properties. Blais is especially skilled in financial analysis understanding balance sheets, capital structures, cost of capital, cash conversion cycles, debt repayment capacity, asset collateral values, plus industry trends and competitive landscapes.
A New Hampshire native, Blais earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. He is a graduate of Leadership Greater Manchester, class of 2016. In the community, Blais serves as treasurer for the Manchester Rotary Club and is involved with the local chamber of commerce and served on the Revolving Loan Fund Committee for the City of Manchester. He has resided in Manchester for nearly 20 years, where he is currently parenting his two teenage children. When it comes to leisure activities, Blais is a New England sports fan and enjoys playing golf and poker.
