Hillsborough County Superior Court North

MANCHESTER, NH – Jose Javier Rodriguez Grau, 34, of Manchester, was sentenced on June 3, 2026 in Hillsborough Superior Court for firearms and drug trafficking crimes.

Rodriguez Grau had been convicted of four counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, one count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, and one count of Possession of Cocaine. Following a contested sentencing hearing, Judge N. William Delker sentenced Rodriguez Grau to 13½ to 27 years in the New Hampshire State Prison, to be served on the drug charges and one of the firearm counts.

On the remaining three firearm charges, the Court imposed additional consecutive sentences of 10 to 20 years each, fully suspended for 20 years following Rodriguez Grau’s release.

“Illegal firearms in the hands of convicted felons are one of the most serious threats to public safety we face in this community,” said County Attorney John Coughlin. “This sentence reflects the gravity of that threat and sends a clear message that Hillsborough County will pursue the maximum accountability available under the law.”

The investigation and prosecution were conducted with the assistance of several law enforcement agencies, including Detectives Alex April and Terrence O’Neill of the Manchester Police Department, Detective John Corridan of the Bedford Police Department, and partners with federal agencies. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Hillsborough County Attorney Patrick Arnold, assisted by Paralegal Jordan Baer.

Cases involving Rodriguez Grau’s co-defendants are scheduled for trial in Hillsborough Superior Court in Manchester later this year.
