A man accused of causing a scene at a local convenience store was arrested April 6 on drug possession charges and outstanding warrants
On Feb. 20 at about 2 a.m. Manchester Officer Chad Tennis was working an extra detail at USA Chicken when several patrons were acting disorderly, so the manager asked the officer to remove multiple individuals. Officer Tennis advised Bairon Munoz Benitez, 27, of Manchester, to leave the restaurant.
Dillon Coleman, 23, of Derry, was arrested Feb. 21 after assaulting an officer called on to remove him from a local bar for disorderly conduct, police said.
Robert Drake, who had a cast on his left arm, proceeded to swear at Officer Cody Healy and challenged him to a fight. Drake allegedly took a “boxers stance” and moved toward Officer Healy, who felt he was about to be assaulted, so he thwarted Drake’s efforts by pushing him away with his open hand.
Rifat Syla, 24, of Manchester, was arrested following an incident Dec. 5 outside a local bar during which he allegedly assaulted a police officer on safety detail.
Manchester Police Department recognizes the good intentions of motorists. However, in an effort to discourage panhandling at busy intersections and other areas of the City, the Manchester Police Department is seeking the assistance of motorists and asking them to instead make donations to charitable organizations that are available to assist those in need.
