Gov. Kelly Ayotte last week joined members of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce for a State of the State conversation focused on key priorities affecting the business community, including economic development, housing, education, and childcare.
Gov. Kelly Ayotte’s office shared two documents late Thursday that provide more detail about plans for an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Merrimack, saying she only received them that day from the Department of Homeland Security.
Throughout her 45-minute attempt at a victory lap, the Governor rattled off a laundry list of “accomplishments” and cherry-picked accolades from her time on the job. But at no point in her remarks did Ayotte display a genuine understanding of the dire financial straits that Granite Staters are facing under Republican leadership. And for all her talk about prioritizing affordability, she has a track record that says the exact opposite.
“I don’t think it’s acceptable that the federal government has not provided more transparency on this,” Ayotte said.

The Merrimack County Grand Jury has indicted Tristan A. Anderson, 22, of Hooksett, for two class A felonies and one class B felony for conduct relating to threats to target Governor Kelly Ayotte.
The harm or threats charge, a class B felony, alleges Anderson “knowingly threatened to commit the crime of homicide and/or assault against Gov. Ayotte, for the purpose of influencing such official’s action or in retaliation for action taken as part of such official’s’ government duties.”
