
HOOKSETT, NH — A local man is under arrest, charged with threatening to kill Gov. Kelly Ayotte with a “weapon of mass destruction.”
Tristan Anderson, 22, formerly of 512 West River Road, Apt. 119, is charged with criminal threatening and harm or threats to certain government officials. The criminal threatening charge, a class A misdemeanor, alleges Anderson threatened to commit homicide and/or assault against Gov. Kelly Ayotte with a purpose to terrorize N.M., identified in court documents as Anderson’s roommate.
The harm or threats charge, a class B felony, alleges Anderson “knowingly threatened to commit the crime of homicide and/or assault against Gov. Ayotte, for the purpose of influencing such official’s action or in retaliation for action taken as part of such official’s’ government duties.”
Anderson was arrested on Aug. 28, 2025 but court documents revealing the circumstances surrounding his arrest were not made public until Thursday, Sept, 18, 2025.
According to that document, a probable cause statement of State Police Detective Sergeant Christopher N. Elphkick in support of Anderson’s arrest and on file in Hooksett District Court, Anderson threatened the governor in text messages he sent to his roommate.
They said:
“I’m going to target the NH Mayor Kelly ayott. (sic)
With my weapon of mass destruction.
These jew feds need to fucking die.
Same with polygamy.
WHICH WAS CREATED BY THE FICKING JEWS AND ISRAEL DEEP STATE.
I’m going insane.
I’m not fucking lying though.”
The woman’s ex-boyfriend informed police of the threats.
That man shared his ex-girlfriend’s Snapchat text messages with Pembroke police showing her roommate had threatened the Governor.
Elphick spoke with the girlfriend who confirmed the text messages and said Anderson had firearms in his possession. She told the investigator Anderson also mentioned manufacturing pipe bombs.
She said Anderson showed her metal tubes he was using to make the bombs as well as nuts and bolts to put into them.
She also told investigators Anderson had purchased fireworks which he was taking apart to create pipe bombs.
Anderson was arrested in August and on Sept. 4, 2025, Judge Benjamin E. LeDuc found there was probable cause to detain him.
Anderson was ordered placed into preventive detention on Aug, 29, 2025. He was arrested on Aug. 28, 2025.
The bail order bars him from being on the grounds of the New Hampshire State Hospital. If he is released, he is to live at 78 High St., Boscawen. He is barred from possessing a firearm, destructive device, dangerous weapon or ammunition and is to not use alcohol or any narcotic drug, He also is to sign a waiver of extradition..
His case was bound over to Merrimack County Superior Court for possible indictment by a grand jury.
