The NH Elder Abuse Unit, previously staffed by a prosecutor, victim-witness advocate, and program specialist, has seen a 71% increase in referrals over the last five years (from 758 to 1,295). The increase in referrals is attributable to several factors, including the increase in our older adult population, Attorney General John Formella said during a press conference on Aug. 21.

The program provides eligible  Veterans the option of living in a family setting when they can no longer stay in their own home.
