The Granite YMCA was recently awarded $1 Million Dollars in grant funding by Hillsborough County. The award is part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from which the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners has approved $12,419,645 to area non-profits.

YMCA STAY, offered at Parkside, Hillside, McLaughlin, and Southside middle schools, provides direct and indirect services to more than 100 at-risk students who may need additional help to be successful in school due to a variety of factors. The program provides a broad range of services including academic support, mentoring, time management, and healthy behaviors and aids the ongoing efforts to provide a strong and healthy foundation for Manchester youth and teens.

Thanks to a recent $10,000 donation from Hannaford, the Granite YMCA is offering free performances of Food Play during the Granite YMCA’s 11th annual Brunch with Santa on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The brunch, sponsored by Hannaford, features good eats and a host of healthy activities for the whole family.

UNH Manchester students now have an exciting new array of health and wellness options, thanks to an innovative program announced Sept. 18 by the University and the Granite YMCA. Effective this month, all full time students who utilize the Manchester campus will be part of the Wildcat Wellness Program and have full membership privileges at the Granite YMCA, which includes branches in Manchester, Goffstown, Londonderry, Portsmouth and Rochester.
