This morning, Manchester Police SWAT raided the apartment of Brian Rutherford, 18, located at 366 Massabesic Street, 3rd floor. The raid was the result of a month long investigation involving the sale of heroin from this location along with the possession of firearms by suspected gang members.
A tense situation ended peacefully with police intervention after a distraught man broke into his family’s home and threatened to kill his family members.
Manchester Police officers received information that a wanted Queen City man was inside of a West Side apartment at 4 p.m. Aug. 26. Multiple officers arrived to 63 Goffe St. to locate and arrest Daniel Pihl, 25 of Manchester. Pihl had an active arrest warrant for theft of a firearm stemming from an August 18 theft of a Glock 21.
Detectives are investigating the shooting incident, which happened Monday night.
A police special investigation team arrested three New York men on June 10 in an early-morning sting. They are accused of drug dealing and gun running from an Orange Street apartment.
A man who shot and killed himself Friday after Manchester SWAT surrounded his Hooksett home was under investigation for a Nov. 7 shooting on Pine Street, police say.

Hernan Rijos-Calderon, 26, and William Rivera-Calderon, 35, both of Manchester, were taken into custody after the Police Special Enforcement Division and multiple members of the Manchester Police SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 125 Mammoth Road.
