The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office can verify that there was no sprinkler system installed in the building, and the fire alarm system was operational and activated at the time of the fire.
A command center has been established at the First Baptist Church, 536 Union St., to support residents displaced by the Jan. 1 apartment fire. The community is working diligently to ensure all affected families receive the help they need.
The community started rallying and supporting the victims less than an hour after the first fire apparatus arrived early Thursday.
