Gateway Park is a little plot of land on a high-traffic area begging to be adopted by a business or individual looking to “have their work seen by thousands of motorists a day.”
It’s just one of 23 sites currently available for “adoption” from a list of 40 sites around the Queen City (click here for the complete list) in need of volunteer upkeep.
The City of Manchester, NH developed Adopt-A-Site to encourage local businesses, landscaping professionals and volunteers to assist with the beautification of City land.
The opportunities for adoption range from volunteering at your neighborhood park to developing a landscaped traffic median. Parameters are different, depending on what level of effort and commitment you’re up for:
