MANCHESTER, NH โ Jacob and Lauren Stibs were arrested Feb. 13 on an outstanding arrest warrant charging them with allegedly stealing more than $100,000 in jewelry over several months beginning last summer.
Theย Stibs were allegedly residing next door to the 70-year-old neighbor when the series of thefts took place. The victim told police Jacob Stibs had worked odd jobs around her home in the summer of 2014 and part of 2015 and had access to her home.

On August 4, 2015 she noticed she was missing more than $500 cash, so she began looking for her jewelry. Detective David Dupont, of the Detective Squad, worked on the case and estimated the thefts resulted in the loss of more than $100,000-worth of jewelry. The victim was able to retrieve some of the items, but most were sold at area pawn shops prior to the start of the investigation.
Detective Dupont prepared warrants for Jacob Stibs, 37, and Lauren Stibs, 30, in August of 2015. They had since moved out of the West Side address and were eluding police. Both stated they had no permanent address at the time of their arrest. They were arrested without incident and appeared in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on todayโs date.
Jacob Stibs was charged with 10 counts of theft by deception and 10 counts of receiving or possession of stolen property. Lauren Stibs was charged with receiving or possession of stolen property.
