Dec. 13: Meet Rowan Jacobsen, author of ‘Wild Chocolate’; buy the book, get it signed

Dancing Lion Chocolate to begin pilot program of small batch Heirloom Couverture.

"There in the little chocolate shop in New Hampshire, I raise the bowl to my mouth and drink...This is the nature of chocolate." - From ‘Wild Chocolate’ p. 251

MANCHESTER, NH – In 2022, Rowan Jacobsen released the most concrete and accurate depiction of the intention behind fine chocolate and the industry therein; the Obsessions: Wild Chocolate podcast guides the listener through five rare wild cacaos and the cacao farmers and chocolate makers who are changing sourcing practices in order to preserve exceptional flavors found throughout the world’s most precious and endangered tropical forests.

    Richard Tango-Lowy in the wild.

Join Rowan at Dancing Lion Chocolate from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13th to catch your copy of his newest book, Wild Chocolate, the result of 20 years of jungle trekking, relationship-building and exploring the uncharted world of wild cacao, from Bolivia to Belize, from Mexico to right here in Manchester. Wild Chocolate is a story of drug trafficking, guns, poisonous snakes, and occasional triumph over challenge.

Rowan and Master Chocolatier Richard Tango-Lowy will be available to sign books and tell stories, and answer questions at the Dancing Lion Chocolate Cafe, 917 Elm Street in Manchester. Traditional drinking chocolate, along with Zen Brownies and Wild Chocolate and Rare Heirloom Tasting Sets will be available to purchase until the shop closes at 5 p.m.

Make sure you secure your unique items for the holidays. Products are available (but flying off the shelves) at the shop, and we’re shipping throughout the country.
