Dec. 7: 3rd Annual Merrymaking On West Merrimack returns, a free holiday festival for all


Free community celebration features live music, food trucks, local vendors, and family fun.


MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ย The holiday season kicks off with the 3rd Annual Merrymaking on West Merrimack, a free street festival that transforms West Merrimack Street into a winter wonderland surrounded by the historic Amoskeag Millyard housing. The event invites families, friends and neighbors to gather for an afternoon of music, food, shopping and holiday cheer.

โ€œMerrymaking on West Merrimack has become a cherished tradition that brings our community together to celebrate the season,โ€ said Alyson Cobb, committee chair. โ€œWeโ€™re excited to offer this free event that showcases the best of Manchester โ€” from our talented performers to our incredible local businesses.โ€

The festival features entertainment and activities for all ages, including live performances by the Upright Dogs and the Palace Youth Theatre. Attendees can enjoy food from local favorites Deadproof Pizza Co., Granite State Glizzys, Clydeโ€™s Cupcakes and NXT Coffee Bar. A festive bar will highlight local breweries.

More than 25 local businesses and artisans will offer unique, handmade gifts perfect for holiday shopping. The event emphasizes supporting the local economy while providing one-of-a-kind treasures for every holiday list.

Family-friendly attractions include:

  • Touch-a-Truck experience with the Manchester Fire Department
  • UNH STEM-Mobile interactive demonstrations
  • Manchester Bookmobile
  • Curling with NHSCOT
  • Face painting, lawn games and more

Event merchandise is available through the Merrymaking Zeffy store, featuring commemorative sweatshirts, holiday wreaths and the 2025 Manchester Historic Association ornament honoring the Amoskeag Corporation Housing.
