DERRY, NH – A Derry motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening on Island Pond Road.
On June 21, 2026, at approximately 5:23 p.m., the Derry Police Department responded to the area of 71 Island Pond Road for a report of a serious motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel located the single motorcycle involved and initiated life-saving measures on the driver. He was transported by members of the Derry Fire Department to the hospital. Tragically, the driver involved in the collision succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Parkland Medical Center.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Christopher Chick, 61 of Derry.
Due to the severity of the crash, the Derry Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team responded and is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Island Pond Road was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene, it has since been reopened to all traffic.
