MANCHESTER, NH – A partially loaded tanker truck carrying diesel fuel lost control on the highway, going over the guard rail and crashing into the trees on I-293 in the early morning hours of Jan. 18.

The vehicle was headed South on I-93 and took the 293 ramp toward the mall, losing control in the curve. The driver attempted to get control but the truck crashed through the guard rail, coming to rest on its side.
The driver was initially trapped in the cab of the truck, but did not appear to be seriously injured.
Duval’s Towing arrived with multiple tow trucks to hoist the vehicle and remove it. As of 3 a.m. the removal process had not been started. Motorists should expect significant traffic delays on 93 south of Candia Road onto 293 North toward the mall until the accident scene is cleared.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. However, Manchester NH Police cautioned drivers to be aware of icy road conditions for the morning commute Thursday. A police post on social media included information about a rash of early-morning accidents:
