On July 9, 2023, a man reported to police that while driving on Mammoth Road, he was being tailgated and in response, he “brake checked” the other vehicle. As both vehicles approached Huse Road the tailgater, later identified as Talbot, drove alongside the victim’s vehicle and began shouting and shot at him.

The victim, a 39- year-old Manchester resident, was struck in the arm and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, police identified Talbot as the suspect and he was arrested. Additionally, a search warrant was served on Talbot’s residence, where detectives located a 9mm Draco pistol.

“Manchester Police Detectives did outstanding work investigating this case,” said Manchester Police  Chief Allen Aldenberg. “It is completely unacceptable for this kind of behavior to take place in our community. This lengthy sentence should serve as a strong warning: Violence is not tolerated in  Manchester, and we will investigate all incidents to the fullest, and there will be serious consequences for  those involved.”

We are particularly thankful to Manchester Detectives Kevin Shields and Jeremy Ward, as well as  Assistant County Attorney Jonathan Raiche from the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office, who prosecuted the case.

Along with the 20-year stand committed sentence, Talbot also pleaded guilty to reckless conduct and received a 10-year suspended sentence.
