MANCHESTER, NH — For anyone who ever wished they could have seen The Beatles live — or for those who simply love the sound, spirit and joy of their early years — 1964 The Tribute offers a rare chance to step back in time.

The long-running Beatles tribute band will perform at the Dana Center on Saturday, Jan. 18, bringing with them a concert experience designed to recreate the energy, look and sound of The Beatles’ touring years — the era that sparked Beatlemania and forever changed rock music.

Founded in the early 1980s, 1964 The Tribute has built an international reputation for authenticity. Rather than spanning the full Beatles catalog, the band focuses specifically on the years when John, Paul, George and Ringo were taking the world by storm — before psychedelic experimentation and studio wizardry shifted their sound.

What audiences experience instead is the raw excitement of the early 1960s: tight harmonies, driving rhythms, and songs that still feel instantly familiar decades later. Think “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “She Loves You,” “All My Loving,” and “Twist and Shout” — performed with period-correct instruments, vintage suits, and an attention to detail that longtime fans deeply appreciate.

The current lineup includes:

  • Mark Benson as John Lennon, a co-founder of the band
  • Mac Ruffing as Paul McCartney, playing left-handed bass in classic McCartney style
  • Doug Couture as George Harrison
  • Joseph Bologna as Ringo Starr

Together, they don’t just perform the music — they recreate the feeling of being in the room when the Beatles first arrived in U.S., complete with the exuberance, humor and musical precision that defined those early concerts.

For Manchester audiences, the Jan. 18 show offers something rare: a shared, multigenerational experience. Some will come reliving memories. Others will come discovering why these songs still matter. All will be invited into a night that celebrates the simple, powerful magic of live music — the kind that makes people sing along, tap their feet, and leave smiling.

1964 The Tribute has been touring steadily for decades, but each performance remains rooted in the same idea: honoring a moment in music history that still resonates today.
