DECA Students going to Orlando
Thirty-five students from Manchester qualified to compete in Orlando at theย DECA International Career Development Conference. April’s DECA event bringsย together students from across the country as well as Canada, Mexico, Chinaย and Germany.
DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is non-profit curriculum-based organization which offers students aย chance to develop their business and leadership skills. Central, Memorial andย West high schools have very active chapters.
At the DECA NHย Careerย Developmentย Conference thisย month inย Manchester, moreย than 400 highย school studentsย from around theย state in 32ย categories ofย businessย presentations did their best toย demonstrate what they knowย in the fields ofย entrepreneurship,ย management, marketing, Finance, and more.ย In addition, Central’s Chris Wittle was elected as a DECA state officer.

Victory for Parkside Boys Basketball team
Parkside victory was 25 years in the making.
The middle school basketball teams all had greatย seasons. Special recognition goes toย the Parkside boys A team for its first cityย championship in 25 years. They beat McLaughlinย to capture the victory.
Way to go, Knights!!
Congratulations also to the Hillside boys B,ย Southside girls A, and McLaughlin girls B teamsย on their city championship wins!
