MANCHESTER, N.H. โ Beautiful weather was the back drop on Friday and Saturday for the second annual Northeast Delta Dental Stadium Food Truck Festival.
Event organizers noticed a slight increase in attendance over the 1,500 people that arrived during rainy conditions experienced during the eventโs inaugural edition.
Organization for the event, which included music and some assorted games located on the stadiumโs outfield area, began in January.
Stephanie Fournier, director of hospitality and special events for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, noted that the free event was a way that the team tries to continue providing family-friendly activities for their fans, even when the team is out of town.
โThis is kind of a passion project of mine,โ she said. โWe really wanted to do this event to have fun and give back to Manchester.โ
Manchester resident Jen Jenkins didnโt go to the event last year and wanted to take a look this year, the first time she has been to a food truck-related event since one in Boston several years ago.
โItโs really cool, I think itโs a nice event for families.โ She said. โI just thought weโd try something different. Come with friends, good food, canโt go wrong, right?โ
A schedule of future baseball games and other non-baseball events like the festival occurring at the stadium is available on the Fisher Catsโ website.
