MANCHESTER, N.H. โ€“ Beautiful weather was the back drop on Friday and Saturday for the second annual Northeast Delta Dental Stadium Food Truck Festival.

Event organizers noticed a slight increase in attendance over the 1,500 people that arrived during rainy conditions experienced during the eventโ€™s inaugural edition.

Organization for the event, which included music and some assorted games located on the stadiumโ€™s outfield area, began in January.

Stephanie Fournier, director of hospitality and special events for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, noted that the free event was a way that the team tries to continue providing family-friendly activities for their fans, even when the team is out of town.

โ€œThis is kind of a passion project of mine,โ€ she said. โ€œWe really wanted to do this event to have fun and give back to Manchester.โ€

Manchester resident Jen Jenkins didnโ€™t go to the event last year and wanted to take a look this year, the first time she has been to a food truck-related event since one in Boston several years ago.

โ€œItโ€™s really cool, I think itโ€™s a nice event for families.โ€ She said. โ€œI just thought weโ€™d try something different. Come with friends, good food, canโ€™t go wrong, right?โ€

A schedule of future baseball games and other non-baseball events like the festival occurring at the stadium is available on the Fisher Catsโ€™ website.
