MANCHESTER, NH – A Goffstown teen wanted on a warrant for an assault charge now faces additional charges after he became combative with police March 9 in Manchester.
Isaiah Williams, 18, was charged with simple assault on a police officer, resisting arrest/detention and placed on a 72-hour probationary hold.
At about 9 p.m. on March 9 Patrol Officer Cody Healy observed Williams walk into Domino’s, 212 Lowell St. Officer Healy was familiar with Williams and knew he had an active arrest warrant out of Goffstown for an incident that occurred sometime over the weekend.
A foot pursuit began in the area of N&N Express, 230 Lowell St., and ended in the rear of 288 East High St. Sgt. Shawn McCabe, Officer Healy and Officer Ryan Boyton located Williams, who remained uncooperative and combative throughout the arrest. One of the officers sustained a minor injury as a result of his combative behavior.
Williams was scheduled to appear in Manchester District Court on March 10.
Goffstown Police Chief Robert Browne said police had active warrants for the arrest of Williams and another teen, Jayson Setoute, 18, of Manchester. Both were wanted on felony charges of first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
Browne said Williams and Setoute had an ongoing dispute with the victim, identified as Joshua Auger, 20, of Goffstown. which led to the attack. Auger is hospitalized in critical condition at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
The New Hampshire State Police Major Crimes Unit is involved in the investigation.
Auger was dumped on Moose Club Park Road, near the intersection of Circle Drive following the weekend assault.
