From Ballpark Bites to Local Legends!
MANCHESTER, NH – Back for its second year, get ready to dip, dunk, and devour your way through the Queen City! The Tender Townies, in partnership with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, invite everyone to participate in the 2nd Annual Chicken Tender Passport, a city-wide celebration of Manchester’s most beloved culinary claim to fame: the chicken tender.
Running now through July 21, 2026, the Chicken Tender Passport invites locals and visitors alike to embark on a flavorful adventure across Manchester, the hometown of the chicken tender, invented in 1974 by Manchester’s Puritan Backroom Restaurant. Fans are invited to collect signatures from participating restaurants and vote on their favorite to be entered into a raffle for prizes.
Participants who turn in their passport with three or more signatures will be entered to win special prizes, including a Fisher Cats VIP Suite, free chicken tenders for a year at the Manchester Red Arrow, gift cards to participating locations, and of course, the ultimate bragging rights as a Certified Chicken Tender Connoisseur.
The Chicken Tenders, one of the NH Fisher Cats’ alternative identities, return throughout the summer this year!
