
HOOKSETT, NH โย Police have determined a pipe bomb threat reported via email at Southern NH University was not credible – but the investigation did force an evacuation of the library.
On Friday September 19, 2025 at approximately 3 p.m. the Hooksett Police Department was notified of a bomb threat on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University.ย An email was received advising there was a pipe bomb in the former Shapiro Library, now called the Edward S. Wolak Library.ย
The building was evacuated by SNHU Campus Safety and Hooksett Police Officers.ย A sweep of the building was completed by both the Hooksett Police Department and Manchester Police Department explosive detection K-9 Units. The threat was determined to not be credible and once the building was cleared, students and staff were allowed back inside.ย The building was closed for approximately an hour.
Further investigation will follow in an attempt to identify the origin of the email.
