BROOKLINE, NH โ Glenn Annis, 65, of Hudson, died of injuries sustained in an accident Sunday in Brookline, State Police said.
On Sunday April 17, 2016 at approximately 3:39 p.m. Brookline Police Department was notified of a motor vehicle crash located at the intersection of NH Route 130 (Pepperell Road) and Cross Road in the Town line of Brookline, New Hampshire which involved multiple vehicles.
Upon arrival the investigation revealed a black 1999 Ford Ranger being operated by Steven Taylor, 18, of Leominster, Mass., was traveling westbound onย Route 130 approaching the intersection of Cross Road.
At the same time a red 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle being operated Annis and a black 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling just behind him being operated by Steven Thomas, 55, of Merrimack, were traveling eastbound onย Route 130 approaching the area of Cross Road.
For reasons undetermined at this time Taylor failed to yield the right of way while attempting to make a left hand turn onto Cross Road. As a result the Ranger struck the Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Annis. After striking the Harley, the Ranger allegedly sideswiped a gray 2008 Toyota Yaris being operated by Wende Brown of Ashburnham, Mass., which was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Cross Road and NH Route 130 (facing easterly). Thomas made an aggressive maneuver and laid his motorcycle down, avoiding the collision.
Annis suffered massive trauma and was transported by ground to an area hospital where he later succumbed to those injuries.
Neither Taylor nor Brown suffered injuries, while Thomas was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.
Assisting on scene were members of the Brookline Police Department, NH State Police Troop B Barracks, Brookline Fire & Rescue, and EMS Crews.
At this time the crash investigation is being handled by the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit (C.A.R. Unit) with assistance from the Brookline Police Department.
