Fire fighters back Dexter to put public safety and working families first.
MANCHESTER, NH – The International Association of Fire Fighters Local 856, representing Manchester’s professional fire fighters, announced its endorsement of Dana Dexter for Ward 3 Alderman by its political action committee (PAC). Local 856 praised Dexter’s decades of front-line service and proven record as a union leader who stands with working families.
In 2024, Manchester fire fighters responded to nearly 29,000 calls for service. From fires and floods to medical emergencies and community health needs, their work underscores the essential role fire fighters play in keeping Manchester safe. IAFF Local 856 represents more than 200 dedicated professionals, advocating for their safety, well-being and the resources needed to protect the community.
“On behalf of the men and women of IAFF Local 856, we are proud to endorse Dana Dexter for Ward 3 Alderman,” said the Manchester Fire Fighter PAC Committee. “Dana has spent more than 20 years protecting New Hampshire families in law enforcement and has been a dedicated union member throughout his career, serving on the executive board of the Concord Police Patrolmen’s Association, leading as president, and now continuing that service as a member of the Concord Police Supervisors Association. He knows firsthand what it means to stand up for working families and to fight for those on the front lines. Dana has our backs, and we are proud to stand with him. Ward 3 will be safer and stronger because of his leadership, and we look forward to working with him to keep Manchester moving forward.”
