The Ted Herbert Music School will host its Jazz Showcase on Sunday, June 7th the Ted Herbert Music School and Majestic Theatre Studios located in Manchester. This afternoon of Jazz will feature performances by the 2026 Ted Herbert Community Big Band as well as performances by Ted Herbert Students and Instructors.
Over the last several months the Ted Herbert Community Big Band composed of student musicians ages 13 – 19 have been rehearsing in an ensemble setting with mentoring by professional working musicians under the direction of musician, Thomas Salyers.
Ted Herbert Community Big Band Student performers include: Anderson Brock (Tenor Sax), William Carlone (Drums), Alex Czajka (Trombone), Ash Desmarais (Trumpet), Jillian Dunlap (Alto Saxophone), Nathaniel Dunlap (Trumpet), Anne Goodwin (Baritone Sax), Colin Martineau (Tenor Sax), Martin Pennington (Piano), Evan Poisson (Drums), James Salyers (Trumpet), and Elias Vazquez (Bass).
The Ted Herbert Community Big Band Professional Musicians that have participated as mentors in the 2026 program include: Thomas Salyers (Director/Trumpet), Bob Couturier (Trumpet), Max Lalos (Trombone/Combo Director), Andrea Davies (Saxophone), Mike Jacobs (Saxophone), Rob Daisy (Saxophone), Adam Rhan (Drums), and Matt Bruneau (Drums). Robert Dionne served as the program’s administrator.
