Katerina Simons, 26: West High grad, loved by many, remembered by all she met

HOOKSETT, NH โ€”Katerina Anna Simons 26, died January 8, 2016 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

Born in Manchester, wasย a resident of Hooksett for the past 21 years. She was the daughter of Glenn E. and Kathleen A. (McGranaghan) Simons.

Katerina graduated from West High School.

Katerina’s passion was cheerleading. She started in elementary school, and was active on her local school teams, as well as a member of Cheer Gym and Celebrity Cheer All-Star teams. Katerina also enjoyed spending time with her numerous friends and family.

Katerina will be remembered for her infectious smile and the way she could brighten up any room she entered. She was loved by many and will be remembered by all she met.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister Natassia S. Simons of Hooksett; maternal grandmother Catherine Snow and her husband John of Chichester; paternal grandmother Barbara A. Simons of Palm Bay, FL; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8ย p.m.ย at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday from 11ย a.m.ย to 2ย p.m.ย at Alpine Club, 175 Putnam St., Manchester.
