MANCHESTER, NH – Granite United Way has launched KeyConnect NH, a first-of-its-kind statewide housing platform designed to simplify and speed up the search for affordable housing across New Hampshire. Built on collaboration and innovation, KeyConnect NH bridges the gap between landlords, case managers, and tenants, creating more efficient and successful housing placements.
KeyConnect NH is the only statewide housing platform in New Hampshire that combines pre-screened, assisted-housing-eligible listings with dedicated landlord engagement staff and direct tools for case managers and housing navigators. This combination ensures that every connection between landlord, service provider, and tenant is built on verified information, trust, and long-term stability.
The KeyConnect NH team includes experienced housing professionals who have spent years engaging landlords and connecting affordable units to the 603 residents who need them most. This dedicated staff support helps property owners navigate housing assistance programs, sustain successful tenancies, and expand participation in programs that make affordability possible.
“After five years of administering the Affordable Housing Incentive Program (AHIP) and helping more than 500 individuals find stable housing, we know what’s possible when landlords, service providers, and tenants have the right tools and support,” said Kara Anne Rodenhizer, Senior Director of Housing Initiatives at Granite United Way.
“KeyConnect NH is about changing the systems that too often stand between Granite Staters and home. In a tight rental market where many below-market units are shared only by word of mouth, we’re making those homes visible and accessible, offering choice in housing. It builds partner capacity so agencies can focus on providing services instead of spending hours searching for housing, and it supports landlords every step of the way, from the moment they list a unit through the duration of a tenancy,” Rodenhizer said.
Designed with input from service providers across the state, KeyConnect NH equips Case Managers and Housing Navigators with a secure, centralized tool to identify available units, match clients to housing opportunities, and reduce the administrative delays that often stall move-ins. By closing those “last-mile” gaps, the platform helps agencies spend less time searching and more time supporting long-term housing stability.
The timing for this new approach is right.
“In a time when resources are stretched and demand is unprecedented, we need to think differently about how we deliver housing solutions,” said Shannon Swett, Chief Impact Officer at Granite United Way. “KeyConnect pairs innovation with what we know works, making the housing we already have work better for everyone. It is about creating efficiency, expanding affordability, and proving that when we act collectively, every unit can be a home.”
By centralizing verified listings, building cross-sector collaboration, and providing dedicated support for both landlords and case managers, KeyConnect NH aims to transform New Hampshire’s housing landscape one connection at a time.
