MANCHESTER, NH – The Los Angeles Kings have assigned defenseman Derek Forbort to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Feb. 27.

The 6-4, 219-pound native of Duluth, Minn., appeared in 46 games earlier this season with Manchester (AHL), recording 11 points (2-9=11), a plus-15 rating and 37 penalty minutes.
