
MANCHESTER, NH โ Chef David Chan of Manchester, NH has been chosen to represent New Hampshire at the upcoming Flavored Nation event in St. Louis, designed to celebrate the culinary diversity of the United States โ touted as “one city, two days, 50 iconic flavors.”
Fifty chefs from across the country have been carefully selected to feature an iconic local dish or ingredient from their state. The Flavored Nation event will take place on October 27-29, 2017 at the St. Louis Dome. Tickets are available for anyone who wants to come and try these iconic dishes and celebrate the diversity of the U.S. culinary scene. There will be gumbo from Louisiana, lobster rolls from Maineโฆ and Chef David will bring his famous Smoked Pumpkin and Apple soup with Maple Syrup Glazed Pumpkin Seeds to the table โ 2,000 servings of it, in fact.
Chef David is a trained chef and culinary coach. He received his culinary training at New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, VT, and has cooked in various restaurants in southern New Hampshire, including Tek Nique In Bedford and Republic and Campo Enoteca in Manchester. Currently, Chef David runs his own business out of Derry, Chef David NH, which offers healthy prepared meals, catering, and cooking classes.
Having grown up in a bicultural family, Chef David understands and enjoys both American staples and international flavors. Chef David believes that food is one of the most fundamental elements to affect change within oneself and our planet. He is excited and honored to represent New Hampshire in St. Louis in October!
