MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ A group of students who just earned a spot in a national vo-tech competition provided complimentary makeovers for some New Hampshire’s veterans, who are on the rebound after a bout with homelessness.

On April 16 students from theย Manchester School of Technology Cosmetology SkillsUSA NH Chapter invited residents of the Liberty House to their in-school student salon and spa for free makeovers.

Fore more than a decade, Liberty House in Manchester has been providing a safe, supportive substance-free housing community for American veterans transitioning out of homelessness.

Residents were given fresh new haircuts and manicures by the cosmetology students as part of their SkillsUSA program and week of service.

Now that they’ve been ranked among the most talented CTE (career and technical education) students in the U.S., they are working hard to raise the funds needed to get to the SkillsUSA championships inย Kentucky.

If you can help, send donations to: MST Cosmetology Program, 530 South Porter St., Manchester, NH.
