
MANCHESTER, NH โ Wade Gop, 21, of Manchester, was already in custody on an unrelated charge when he was arrested and charged additionally with his alleged participation in a March 14 stabbing inside a Chestnut Street apartment.
On March 14, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers arrived at 780 Chestnut St. for a reported stabbing. Patrol officers spoke with the victim, Desmond Lumpkins, 26, of Manchester. Lumpkins told police two men he was familiar with came to his home and assaulted him. Lumpkins stated the two men attacked him with a knife, causing a puncture wound to his leg and a laceration to his forearm. He was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. One of the injuries required several stitches.
Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Gop, who was arrested March 16 at the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester. Gop was in court for an unrelated charge, so detectives arrested him on additional charges of first-degree assault, criminal threatening warrant, and violation of bail conditions. Gop was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester for the aforementioned case on March 17, 2016.
Detectives continue to work on the case in an attempt to locate and identify the second individual involved in the assault.
