Man seriously injured in early-morning shooting on the West Side

MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ A man was seriously injured with a gunshot wound to the chest and police are now trying to connect the dots after the man showed up at a local hospital with the injury.

According to police on January 25, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a ShotSpotter activation was detected in the area of Blaine and Cleveland streets on the city’s West Side.

Arriving officers found casings on the sidewalk near 183 Blaine St. Shortly after that, a male arrived at Catholic Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police say the injuries are life-threatening and evidence indicates that the two incidents are connected. However, according to police, witnesses at the scene of the shooting were described as “uncooperative” and gave limited information.
