Richard Scott, 49, no fixed address, was arrested by Manchester Police on Sept. 7. He is wanted as a fugitive from justice by police in Waco, Texas.
Just before 11 p.m., Officer Dan Wood of the patrol division was checking on a vacant building downtown when he noticed a person sleeping on a bench. A subsequent check revealed it was Scott, and that he was wanted on a warrant by authorities out of South Waco, Texas.
According to Manchester Police Scott is wanted for in Texas for “unauthorized absence from county corrections.”
Scott was ultimately taken into custody and awaits extradition.
