Manchester-area students get business scholarships

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – A pair of Manchester-area students received scholarships to the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire (UNH).

Makenzie Gagne and Maddie Beaton will receive money from the Pax Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 2022 by the Portsmouth-based Impax Asset Management or Impax, a specialist asset manager investing in the transition to a more sustainable economy. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students must be enrolled in the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and a demonstrated focus in sustainability and sustainable investing. 

Gagne has a double-major in finance and sustainability with a minor in women and gender studies. Beaton has a major in business administration-international business and economics with a dual major in ecogastronomy.
