MANCHESTER, NH โย Dishon Bakery, a family-owned gluten-free establishment that opened on Elm Street in 2024, became the center of a protest Saturday.
The Southern New Hampshire Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) organized a protest targeting the bakery, citing the ownerโs previous service in the Israeli military from 2013 to 2015.
In response, supporters of the bakery arrived in significant numbers, exceeding 100 people many lined up before opening.
While protestor flyers labeled owner a “war criminal,” there are no charges or convictions against him.

Roughly 10 protesters gathered to demand that the bakery either publicly denounce the conflict in Gaza or face a permanent boycott intended to close the business.
The bakery sold out of all goods shortly after opening, with many customers purchasing gift cards to show continued support for the small business.
While some verbal disagreements occurred between the two groups, the scene remained peaceful.
Manchester Police monitored the area, but no intervention was necessary.
