MANCHESTER, NH — The Manchester Emergency Operations Center, in coordination with the Manchester Fire Department, the Police Department, and Department of Public Works, has announced a modification to the city’s traditional parade route to enhance public safety and improve emergency response readiness.
Beginning with the Veterans Day Parade on November 11, 2025, and all parades moving forward, the parade route will start at Bridge Street and Elm Street continuing south on Elm Street and concluding at Elm Street and Central Street.
This change improves security, traffic control, and allows for a stronger overall safety posture for events.
“This change reflects our ongoing commitment to community safety and preparedness,” said Chief Peter Marr. “By adapting our routes to align with modern security standards, we can better protect both parade participants and spectators while maintaining the spirit of Manchester’s long standing traditions.”
“Community risk reduction is a vital component of the Manchester Fire Departments mission,” said Fire Chief Ryan Cashin. “These changes are vital to protect the citizens and visitors of the City of Manchester.”
The Manchester Emergency Operations Center encourages the public to plan ahead and be mindful of temporary road closures, parking restrictions, and detour signage that will accompany the new route.
