MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ The Manchester NH Garden Club celebrated their mid year with a pond-themed luncheon. Many were recognized for their community service by President Irene Nadeau.

Some of the more recent projects the Club has participated in are helping the Tailgate Rescue with a plant sale to benefit dogs that are rescued find homes, making centerpieces for the Manchester Police Athletic League’s dinner, planting at the Manchester Historic Association’s Research Center on Amherst Street and continued work in keeping the Gale Home in Manchester weeded and planted for the residents to enjoy.

The Club will be awarding a $2,500 scholarship to a Manchester high school senior and they are supporting some campers to be able to attend the Y summer camp. The Manchester Garden Club would like to thank those who bought pansy bowls and decorative shells from them as these fundraisers help support their community projects.

Though the members will be busy in gardens this summer, their regular meetings with reconvene on September 17, 2026, when Jane Oโ€™Neil will present โ€œPerennial Muses: Flowers in Art.โ€ She holds a degree from Boston University in Art History and a Masterโ€™s degree in Education from Harvard University. The club meets at St. Hedwig Parish Hall.
