Manchester man arrested after alleged hit and run with stolen car

MANCHESTER, N.H. โ€“ A Manchester man was arrested on Thursday following reports of an alleged hit and run accident with a stolen vehicle.

An employee at the Hanover Hill Garage told officers that they saw someone drive one of their trucks through the garage bay door, with the truck later seen driving the wrong way down Tarrytown Road at a high rate of speed, eventually hitting a sign and telephone pole.

The truck was eventually stopped by Hooksett Police.

The driver, 54-year-old Maurice Bellmore, was charged with alleged theft by unauthorized taking, burglary, and illegal conduct after an accident. Bellmore was also found to be in violation of bail conditions for a previous charge by Manchester Police not specified.

Bellmore will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court โ€“ North today.

Anyone accused of a crime is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
