Manchester man faces multiple charges after what police describe as ‘violent’ crime spree


MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ A city man is in custody after police say he is a suspect in a crime spree that included a violent burglary and car theft.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on August 4, 2025, Manchester Police responded to a report of a burglary inย progress at 95 Faltin Drive. As officers began to investigate, a second report came in about a possibleย  suspect running through a yard near 50 Purchase Street.ย 

Officers spotted a man matching the suspectโ€™s description walking near Motor Cycles of Manchester. Theย  man, identified as Zacharie Hart, 29, of Manchester, attempted to run but was quickly taken intoย  custody.ย 

Around the same time, officers located an unoccupied crashed vehicle at the dead end of Baker Street  near the Queen City Avenue rail trail. The vehicle appeared to have been driven through the dead end but  was stopped by bollards and posted signs. A metal pipe was found inside the vehicle. 

Shortly after Hartโ€™s arrest, police received another report of an armed burglary and car theft on Marguerite Street. In that incident, an elderly woman was assaulted with a pipe, a second individual was  also attacked, and a vehicle was stolen and later crashed into a parked car. 

After obtaining video footage from multiple sources, it became evident to police that Hart was the suspectย in all of the incidents.ย 

Hart is charged with two counts of burglary, armed robbery, first-degree assault with a deadlyย weapon, attempted first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of conduct after an accident,ย  two counts of felony criminal mischief, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, violation of bailย conditions, and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
