
MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Manchester Veterans Council is seeking to raise $200,000 to ensure the successful construction of a memorial to honor those who served the United States during the Gulf War, Iraq War and the Global War on Terror.
In plans provided by the Manchester Veterans Council, the monument is intended to become a place of remembrance to help others understand the sacrifices of veterans as well as serving as an educational resource for future generations.
Past monuments by the council have included the World War II monument and the Vietnam Memorial monument on Canal Street as well as efforts to provide property tax credits for veterans.
