
MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to a robbery in the area of 383 Central Street at 11:05 a.m. on May 1, 2018, after a woman, 54, reported she was threatened at knifepoint while delivering Meals on Wheels, by an unknown assailant, who climbed into her parked car.
The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, possibly late 20s to mid-30s, approached the woman as she sat inside of her car. The suspect was last seen wearing dark colored clothing. He entered her vehicle while holding a knife. The victim said she pushed the unknown man from her vehicle as she repeatedly blew her horn, which scared him away from the area. The victim sustained a small, non-life threatening laceration to her finger as she pushed him out of the vehicle. She was treated on scene by AMR ambulance.
At about 12: 44 p.m. Officer Thomas Florendo observed the robber as described from the Meals on Wheels incident, in the parking lot located at Valley and Lincoln Street. The robber saw the officer and fled toward Auburn Street.
Witnesses claimed the robbermay have entered a basement on Spruce Street, so a perimeter was set-up while officers searched the two-family structure. Unfortunately, the suspect was not located inside the Spruce Street building so officers cleared the area around 1:30 p.m. Manchester Police are working on identifying the robbery suspect.
