Members First Credit Union Awards $10,000 in Scholarships to 10 Local Students



MANCHESTER, NHย  โ€“ Members First Credit Union recently awarded $10,000 in scholarships to 10ย  local students. The Members First Credit Union Memorial Scholarship Program was created in honor of those who have served the credit union and the community in exceptional ways.

Recipients of the 2019 Members First Credit Union scholarships are:

$1,000 Wilbur L. Jenkins Scholarship

  • Maya Harvey of Bedford
  • Katelyn Howe of Hooksett

$1,000 John S. Walsh Scholarship

  • Katherine Dubois of Manchester
  • Meghan Otis of Litchfield

$1,000 Members First Memorial Scholarship

  • Cameron Chouinard of Goffstown
  • Hali Desmarais of Merrimack
  • Lauren Goyette of Hooksett
  • Emmah Nolan of Goffstown
  • Emma Roberge of Bow
  • Emma Sullivan of Manchester

โ€œYear after year, we are impressed by the students who apply for our scholarships, which makes selecting the winners quite challenging,โ€ said Bruce Leighton, president and CEO, Members First Credit Union. โ€œWe congratulate this yearโ€™s recipients, and wish them โ€“ and all students who applied โ€“ much success as they pursue their education.โ€

Members First recently expanded its field of membership to include anyone living, working or attending school in New Hampshire, creating more opportunities for aspiring college students across the state to apply for one of their scholarships. Applications for the next academic year will be available on the Members First Credit Union website in January.
