TRENTON, N.J. โ€“ After a difficult series in Maine, it looks like changing scenery helped the New Hampshire Fisher Cats get back on track.

New Hampshire took their second game in a row against the Trenton Thunder, winning 5-2 on Friday night.

The Fisher Cats bagged four of their five runs early, with Alberto Mineo opening things up with a two-run RBI double in the first, followed by another RBI double from Chad Spanberger in the third that scored Mineo and a bases loaded walk sandwiched in between in the second that sent Spanberger home.

Trenton also struck early, just without as much volume. Both of the Thunderโ€™s runs came off the bat of Kellin Deglan in the first and third respectively.

Mineo provided an insurance run for the โ€˜Cats in the seventh.

Hector Perez (5-3) got the win, allowing four hits in six innings of work, allowing Deglanโ€™s second RBI while striking out nine and walking three.

Rony Garcia ย (1-6) was the loser, giving up seven of New Hampshireโ€™s nine hits during his 4 2/3 inning stint, allowing four runs and three walks against six strikeouts.

At the plate, Deglan led the way for Trenton with a 3-for-5 night while Mineo, Spanberger and Santiago Espinal each had two hits each for the Fisher Cats.

Another game between the two teams is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. as New Hampshire sends Zach Logue (3-4, 3.75 ERA) against Trentonโ€™s Brian Keller (0-0, 3.60 ERA).
