MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ A mom overdosed on heroin whileย parked in the Walgreen’s parking lot on the city’s West side, whileย her 6-year-old son was in the backseat. She was revived by rescuers who responded.

Laura Pelleteri, 45, of 109 Eastern Ave., Manchester, was found inside her car outside of Walgreens, 227 S. Main St., on Dec. 28 at 3:30 p.m. suffering from a heroin overdose. Police and EMT’s arrived on the scene and administered Narcan, an opiod antidote, which revived her.

Officers were then able to speak with Pelleteri, who told police the child in the back seat of her car was her son, age 6.

Pelleteri was transported to the hospital for additional treatment. Pelleteri informed the policeย that the name and phone number of her sonโ€™s father was in her cellphoneโ€™s contact list. Pelleteri informed the officer to retrieve her phone inside of her purse. When officers opened the purse to get the cellphone, they observed two small bags of what appeared to be heroin. The substance was field tested and did test positive for heroin. After receiving medical treatment, Pelleteri was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled drug and endangering the welfare of a child.

The boyย was released to the custody of his father.
