Northeast Cool Down

Grab your jackets again as cold air and freezing temperatures return to New England. The start of the week will feel more like March, but a brief cold snap could still cause trouble. The main concern is tonight into Tuesday morning, as high pressure settles in, bringing clear skies and light winds that create perfect conditions for cooling. Temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s, leading to a hard freeze. Gardeners and garden centers should take steps to protect tender plants from the frost and freeze ahead.
