A stagnant weather pattern is set to limit rainfall across much of New England, increasing fire risks and putting stress on vegetation. A persistent blocking pattern has disrupted the usual west-to-east flow of storm systems across the eastern half of the U.S., and this setup is expected to keep most areas dry through the week and most likely into the weekend.
